VERMONT SOAP INTRODUCES REVOLUTIONARY LOTION

An ALCOHOL-FREE Alternative for Thirsty Skin

A first of its kind, there are no alcohols, artificial colors, fragrances or animal products in Vermont Soapworks' Moisture Barrier Hand, Body & Face Lotion. "We don't use alcohols because we couldn't justify making a product for dry skin that contains chemicals known to dry skin themselves," notes company President Larry Plesent.

Vermont Soapworks spent years researching a way to hold lotion together without using alcohols or emulsifying waxes. The lotion is unique because it uses the process of colloidial suspension rather than emulsification to keep the product together. “This process allows more of the essential oils and natural ingredients to be bio-available to the skin,” explains Plesent.

The Moisture Barrier Hand, Body & Face Lotion features Shea Butter and is formulated for people who need a humectant barrier that will last for several hours. This alcohol-free lotion contains only pure essential oil fragrances that are good for the skin and provide aromatherapy benefits for the mind. The other ingredients include aloe vera, safflower oil, glycerin, sweet almond oil, honey, essential oils, lecithin, sodium alginate, xanthan gum, rosemary extract and a non-paraben preservative.
